The DataMaxx Jr. System was built by active junior dragster racers for junior drag racing and is the only NHRA, PDRA, WDRA & IHRA approved Jr. Dragster data logger on the market. We have spent years developing the DataMaxx Jr. Dragster Data Logger with Rowans Racing and used it to go to the 2021 PDRA Top Jr. Dragster World Championship.
The Launch Control screen was designed specifically for junior drag racing and allows us to zoom into your ideal launch rpm so we can actually see the needle moving. And with our target and range settings, you can set the ideal launch RPM for your junior and as long as the needle is in the green, you know you’re ready to race. With more consistent launch rpm’s and temperatures your juniors et consistency improves as well.
If you are not downloading your runs after each pass, you have zero clue what just happened on the run and cannot make the correct choices for the next round. These junior dragsters are using a clutch belt drivetrain that is slipping a variable amount nearly the entire time down the track, and this makes them a nightmare to keep consistent. Combine that with the occasional tire spin from poor track prep and there is a lot that can change from run to run.
The DataMaxx software was built specifically for drag racing and as such allows you to overlay more than two runs. In fact, we typically overlay an entire event’s worth of runs and print them for later reference. The DataMaxx software also allows you to easily turn the filter on and off meaning you can finally see true tire spin at the hit.
